Editor

Claudia Tomateo is a Research Fellow in the Urban Systems Lab. She is an architect, urban designer and researcher with a focus in the intersection between cartography, urban narratives and strategic design. @claudiatomateo

Christopher Kennedy

Publication Coordinator

Christopher Kennedy is the Assistant Director at the Urban Systems Lab and a Lecturer in the Parsons School of Design. His work focuses on understanding the socio-ecological benefits of spontaneous urban plant communities in NYC, and the role of civic engagement in developing new approaches to environmental stewardship and nature-based resilience. @chrisleekennedy

Sarah Jane McIntyre

Editor

Sarah Jane McIntyre (who also goes by SJ) is an independent researcher on topics of urban environmentalism, feminism and critical race studies. She is a co-editor on Resilience Quarterly, and holds a BA in Global Studies from The New School. She will begin her Masters Degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in sustainability and environmental planning in the Spring. @bigwidetable

Niamh Peren

Guest Editor

Niamh Peren grew up in the mountains of Aotearoa New Zealand. Last year she won the President’s Scholarship to study a Master of Science at The New School, Parsons School of Design, in NYC. This year she was a recipient of the John L. Tishman Scholarship for exemplary commitment toward Sustainability. Peren staunchly believes in protecting ecosystems, and is best known for her mahi (work) founding the movement Tino Pai Aotearoa / Thumbs Up New Zealand.
